Description

Victorian couple in a boat yahooo :dummy:

I feel like this lacks something. So constructive critiques are welcome.

This took me around five days, that's probably the fastest I take with huge digital pictures like this. =P I was pretty much addicted to this picture and worked my ass off nonstop until I finished it. I really have an unstopable drawing disease these days.

Not much to say about this. I just felt like drawing pretty outfits and nature :iconimconstipatedplz:

I like the colours I selected for this, and the water was fun to paint, but I still feel like I should make the lake more transparent looking. Any advice for that?

Now, that man is gay. He could be staring at that nice pair of jugs but instead he's checking out the mallards :|

Overall, I like it. I hope you guys dig it too.

Wow, five deviations in a month? I'm sure being an insane drawing machine lately. Oh the wonders of not having more admission tests.

Did bad at the flowers gwah.

EDIT: Removed some of the flowers on the tree because they didn't look that grand.

First off, a lovely job on this. The detail is great, the angle is well done and the set and design is neat, as well.
I really like the folds in the dress and the madame's hand. The way the boat interacts with the water is great, and the leaves look fantastic.

One problem I think there is, though, is that the boat doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the picture. Whereas the background is rather realistic, without lines and 3D, the people in the boat have rather thick lines and look somewhat more cartoony, which in its self isn't a bad thing at all, but the fact that they're interacting with there background makes it seem somewhat out of place. The much less detailed shading on things like the picnic basket helps that effect (and, seems to stick out especially even compared to the rest of the boat)
I hope I made sense there

As for the water, I think the lines are a bit too dramatic and all over the place, it doesn't really give a water feel. I think adding some more reflections(like from the tree, for example) and some more light in there might help?

But, all in all, very neat job here!
